During the Klondike Gold Rush, there were three Canyon Cities in operation in the Yukon. Another photograph's caption (spl_ap_00035) places the location of this Canyon City on Sixtymile River which was a tributary of the Yukon River. The "Australian" was constructed by the Canadian Development Company in Bennett, British Columbia in 1899.; Canyon City. [Symbol.] No. 602A.; Exact location along Sixtymile River is unknown.
