About the Southwest Badger RC&D
Southwest Badger Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council, Inc. is a regional nonprofit conservation and community development organization founded in 1992. We serve the nine counties in the southwest corner of Wisconsin. Our mission is to support natural resource conservation, managed growth, and sustainable economic development in our area. We seek to be an incubator for innovative, economic, and sustainable use of local resources.
All programs and projects of Southwest Badger RC&D Council support the following goals:
1. Protect, conserve, restore and where necessary, improve land, water, and related resources to assure the quality of the natural resource base for future generations.
2. Support the development and enhancement of the environment to provide area citizens with an attractive, healthful, and satisfying place to live, work, and play.
3. Support and promote social, economic, and natural resource development to improve the standard of living and provide adequate incomes for all area residents.
